Hey folks!  This week we’ve brought on Paul, one of the founders of the Kevin Workman Foundation.  They’re a local non-profit group who do a lot of great work to support youth artists in the San Diego area.  We’ve worked with them several times over the last few years, doing events with them.  We invited Paul out to one of our recent practice nights and got a chance to sit down with him, talk about what KWF is, what they do, talk about Star Wars, talk about SD Comic-con (which is right around the corner). It was such a great time having Paul with us this fine spring evening!

What a week!  We held a cross-school lightsaber tournament on Wednedsay, and then spent the next 4 days with the guys from Phoenix Sabers at San Diego ComicCon – not just as attendees, but we had a table in the gaming area, did demos, talked to people, and maybe made some new friends.  Maybe.  But to wrap up this week, Robert & Steve chat with Alan from Phoenix Sabers (now known as the Saber Borg of Phoenix) to talk about the tournaments this week, SDCC, and SaberLove(tm).

It’s con-season!  So many conventions happening this time of year, especially with the big San Diego Comic Con (International) happening in our back yard.  So in advance of that crazy-house happening, we’re going to talk about cons this week.  Big cons, small cons – things about cons you like and don’t like – the anxiety that some people have going to cons!  And then some shameless (shameful?) self-promotion of “SteveCon” (Cassian said I had to).
